Both of us interested/making enquiry into relocating to Turkey

Hi there!

A Big Hello to anyone and everyone. We are pleased to meet you forum wise.

My Husband and I are considering relocating to Turkey. We initially had plans to relocate to Southern Spain but have put plans on hold whilst looking at and into Turkey.

As with many UK and overseas estate agents who list re-sale and new build properties, we are looking for a one level (such as a bungalow or on one level villa) 2 or 2 -3 bed property in a non holiday residential area (not within a comunal), that would be ideal for our small dogs (so a garden is a must) that is close to usual amenities, i.e. Shop/supermarket, dentist, bank, post office, restuarants, vet etc., either within walking distance or short drive.

To be amongst not just english speaking but also local and other nationalities and would like to meet up with Ex-pats as being pretty sociable would like to make new friends.

Between us, apart from relaxing and chilling out, we enjoy social activities some being bowls, table tennis, dancing, walking (with or without our dogs), painting and drawing, gardening along with cooking and entertaining also. We are open to other social activities as we are willing to be a part of and try new interests.

We ideally would like a property with a sea view (in reasonable distance) as we would not particularly wish to be too close to a beach. If the property is in an elevated position to drive to that would be fine so long as the property was one level throughout.

We've been in touch and made enquiry with a few agents (who are based both in Turkey and the UK) but we'd like to ask you about your thoughts and feelings about moving, relocating and living in Turkey, Areas that you like or enjoy living in and what they have to offer, Amenities, properties, domestic costs (e.g. electric, heating, etc., purchasing a car, health care/hospitals/ GP, cost of living and last but not least know of reputable agents and a solicitor who would have our best interests in heart and not just on our financial expenditure.

We both are looking forward to a new venture and way of life and would appreciate hearing from you.
