After trying to research and deciding on the best places to live in Turkey for a retired couple from the US; Kusadasi is definitely on top of my list but still like to hear from expats with first hand knowledge of Kusadasi as far as cost of 1 or 2 bedroom rentals and how much it cost to live there for a couple on the average?

I appreciate your advice .
Thank you.

Greetings from beautiful Antalya, Turkey. I have not been to Kusadasi . If you would like some info on Antalya let me know. I have been here one year and love it, soon I will be 81 yo. Have lived in 6 different countries ( travelled to many more) and for my needs, am so happy to live here for may reasons. Yes, at first I was very unsure about it being about 99% Muslim, but found it an advantage. Gerry Hagen, pics from nearby.

Hey,
I am a Turkish-American teaching in Arizona now and will be in Turkey all Spring and Summer. I got vaccinated with Biontech-Pfizer so I can travel now.
Myself and my girlfriend are looking for single and couple friends for to have fun times together.
About Kusadasi: That town was an incredible place in the past but is full of high concrete buildings. I prefer Mugla: Center, Fethiye, Marmaris (anywhere except Milas - there is a coal plant- and Bodrum - too expensive)
You can reach me at vurcen at yahoo address for any other questions.
Peace...

I live in Tire but have been renting a summer house near Kusadasi. This year I paid 2000TL a month ie 24,000 TL for the year. I think this is a good price because the estate agents can charge 12,000 TL just for the one month of August. I am retired and live on a small pension but I would say (excluding rent) £700 a month GBP sterling gives me a good life.
