I would sure like to know the answer to your questions. However, it seems no one frequents this country forum... From the little I have read and gathered, 14th most corrupt country in the world. Of matters I have experienced like visa application, company formation... etc it's definitely not pleasant and much are unknown procedures to the western world. it keeps me asking, why the hell do they want this and that.

The nightmare begins as soon as you enter the airport. There are several passport check points with 1 meter intervals. There is no point!! The passport controllers might ask you weird questions such as `do you have chocolate in your baggage?` `do you have cigarettes in your baggage?`.. I have been living in Ashgabat since october09. My social life is in between house visits to my friends, restorant meals (there are only 2-3 nice restorants) .. I miss shopping , starbucks, organised life, kind people, politeness..; etc. I hope to get a nice job here.I would like to work for a british company here since I lived in UK for 2 years . I worked in UK and studied my masters degree in International Business. If you know any Business administeration related (finance, logistics, SAP-MRP Planning.. etc. ) job oppotunities available in Ashgabat , please let me know..
