Hi guys

There is a webinar from the IRS coming up for expats on June 29th. You can find it at the IRS website under foreign earned income. Also, it will be recorded and you can listen later. And did you know, you can write off your Ukrainian dependents, including children and your travel to Ukraine ? Plus depreciation of your house and on and on.. Uncle Sam offers these write off's so why not, i'll let ya know if I find out the hard way again ! Or if you prefer trying to stay under the radar, we think you are probably taking quite a loss. And with the way things are going in the states, we don't agree that better off being safe than sorry applies anymore. This is my first time writing off everything but all was/is legal.. As we are all aware, uncle Sammy need's our tax money and laws are being passed everyday to get it. I believe as of last year almost all countries are required to report foreigners banking in their country.. So this year (for 2015) WE ( acct. and I ) are writing off all of the aforementioned ! I'll call ya if I need to get bailed out of jail !! You might want to look into it, especially those of you who have acquired any of the above.. Also, interesting article today in USA today (06/24) why Venezuela doesn't have any food on the shelves at the markets anymore.. It has to do with freeloaders and Socialism ! Sound familiar ??? To be continued ........

I wonder if the definition of a dependent is the same as in the US. And how could the IRS prove your wife and family are, or are not dependents without a ssn. I know you all.know what I'm thinking here. But I know the IRS there has got to be a truck load of documents you'll have to send in proving a dependent.

Sharing what I've learned how to deal with the IRS.. The W7 form is for dependents. One page !! Mail it in, and yes they will want more info, in a follow up letter EVERYTIME, but that's it. Get what they want in the follow up and that's usually all..And Extreme, I wrote about filing in the u.s. so the definition of a dependent ???
