Unwanted Furniture

Hello all. Anyone have any specifics on how to sell unwanted furniture pieces that came with my apartment in PdE, Maldonado? I have heard rumors that there are auction houses that will pick up the furniture and forward you a percentage of whatever they bring at auction. Any advice and / or referrals would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!

I can suggest you sell them yourself on mercadolibre and/or facebook marketplace.

Thanks Carlitos. If I had more patience I would do just that: but, that is not my nature.....

For future readers though, I would like to share with you what I learned. I did contact a Rematador at a Remates House. This rematador offers one auction per month in PdE and takes 18% as a commission.

It is up to the seller of the items to get them to the auction house. The fletes company I am using charges $900 (pesos) per hour and an extra $1500 per item if they have to use ropes to lower things down the side of the building (like my sofa).

We tend to take our stuff to Fernando GarcĂa on Av Lussich in Maldonado... he is well known and sells all kinds of thing. I actually bought my Motorbike from him too.
