Hi guys, I've just recently relocated to HCM and my colleagues are planning on bringing me out to karaoke this weekend. I'm kind of new to this whole karaoke thing so i'm not sure what to expect. It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could shed some light

For example, what do people usually drink? (Beer, whiskey, etc).

Are there any no-nos / practices that I should be aware of?

Thanks a lot!

You should go to well-known ones such as Nnice karaoke. It is better than others and you won't be charge nonsense fees. Try not to call many things. Just some bottles of water or some can of beers because they are expensive here. There are some rules that you have to call for food or drink in karaoke. Good luck

Worst of all, the "music" is mostly caterwauling. I live in Cao Lanh and you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a karaoke joint. It's a popular activity in local homes for parties, too. I was captive on a bus ride from here all the way out to Phan Thiet one time. It was a karaoke bus. Pure torture.
