Working in Hanoi

Hi everyone, I am currently 26 years old from Germany and I am going to graduate this year with a Masters in Chemistry and I would really like to experience a different place for at least year (preferably more), before eventually deciding what I am gonna do next. I already visited Vietnam/Hanoi a couple of times (vacations/backpacking) and completely fall in love with the country.

I always hear about teaching jobs in SEA, tho I am not too sure if I am permitted to teach English since I am not a native English speaker, and I assume there is not enough demand for German teachers.

I was wondering if anyone has some advice in regards to my job possibilities?

Hi guy,

I am Giap, 25 years old.
In term of your problem, I think you should choose teaching English (offline or online) because I saw the resident's Vietnam are needing to learn Enghlish.
If you feel not enough confident, you can teach 1,2 people at the first time.

P/s: I am finding a teacher who can help me to improve my English communication. Welcome you!

Hi Giap,

thanks for the response.

My main issue isn't really about the lack of confidence, but more about the fact that I am not a native speaker, and therefore it seems like I am not really able to teach English in most schools.
