I use Xoom.com (part of Paypal) to transfer funds to my Vietcombank account. This is a bank to bank transfer and the sender must establish a relationship with Xoom.com. You can also use the regular Paypal service but this is much more expensive.

You fiancee should ask at her Vietcombank branch what their requirements are. She may have to open a foreign currency account to accept your money. If she is unable to arrange for transfers through Vietcombank, there is always Western Union to use, but you may have to pay a higher fee to use them.
You can also ask your bank what its requirements are to transfer money to Vietnam. Some banks charge considerably more than others.

I send money using Wells Fargo. They have a banking agreement with Vietin Banking. It costs about $6 to send it from a Wells Fargo account to a Vietin account and it gets there in a day. Vietin notifies the recipient when the money arrives. There are certainly more options and I have even sent money thru a relative in the Seattle area but don't know what service she uses but it gets there. Only once did I get ripped off for $500 and that was probably our fault because we sent the money to Vietnam and it was intercepted by a friend of the person who had asked for it. But we have no trouble using Wells Fargo and Vietin Bank.

Easy, you will need to have absolutely correct details of both accounts, address of receiving bank including international bank code. I can't stress the need for accuracy enough, even then the Viet's can stuff up. https://www.wikihow.com/Make-an-International-Wire-Transfer

She goes into Vietcom bank and they will provide info how to wire money. Their are much better and less expensive ways to send money to VN. Anyway dont let your hormones get in the way of prudent thinking. BTDT

I use Wells Fargo. They have a commercial agreement with Vietcom bank and a set procedure to transfer money. Also if something goes wrong they will fix it. Another way is to have a person in the US that does it all the time and let them handle it. I usually have a woman from my wife's village living in Washington State send it. Gets there every time. I had $500 intercepted one time by a friend of the person it was meant for. Never got it back and never caught the thief. So be sure you can trust the requester and sender. That's why I use Wells Fargo when I want to get it to the right person without everyone knowing.

I use Xoom.com (a sub of Paypal) to send funds from Ally Bank in the USA to my Vietcombank account. I don't think you could find a better service (only $2.99 for bank to bank transfer) - your phone will ring with an SMS from Vietcombank about 3 minutes or less after you OK the transfer!
