Yes, of course. Life will go on as it always has in Nicaragua. Remember, you always have the option to leave. And if you choose to stay, you can enjoy the benefits of the new hospitals. the newly paved roads, and the regularly scheduled devaluations of the Cordoba against the dollar. You can trust the government is keeping an eye on those who would undermine the elected government of Nicaragua.

Well, I don't k now about that last line.

But, yes,, there has been no violence other than the political detentions.

One could argue about where the government is going, but is it relevant?

Expats are not being molested.. The country is prosperous,, those parts that are not driven by tourism. Some areas, like the north, are booming.

Those parts not driven by tourism have bargains in real estate and rentals.

Sanctions have been carefully targeted against the Ortega family and not against the general economy.

The election yesterday had a poor turnout. I think that the population at large is resigned to waiting him out.
