Easy-peasy!

Come down, get a good lawyer, form a corporation and open up a medical clinic hiring Nicaraguans who work for comparative peanuts.

Your competition will be Nicaraguans who have the home court advantage, free office they inherited, and bastyante conectes.

you didn't give us much information about what kind of ultrasound you do and what you intended but here's some thoughts. Medical Ultrasound is widely used in the private sector as you probably know, for various healthcare interventions and therefore a knowledgeable ultrasound technician would probably be able to find something. It wouldn't be something that would fall in your lap. You would have have plenty of time to search, to make connections, and use a lot of shoe leather. Getting permission to work as a professional health care worker in Nicaragua is a total different matter. If you were volunteering and you had sufficient credentials from the United States it could certainly be done. But if you want to work for pay, that's a different story

That's why I mentioning the private sector. The public sector would probably be just way too complicated.. The whole process of getting permission to work in the public sector Nicaragua could be unbelievably complicated, I'm guessing you would probably need to have a permanent resident card before you even tried that. Perhaps not impossible. The private sector would probably be easier, but you wouldn't have your own certification, you would probably have to work under the auspices of someone else, such as a physician.

What would really help is if you had a very high quality portable ultrasound machine that you could bring with you. That would be the Trump card.

All my friends who read this forum, will agree.....
Why do you people think that moving to Nicaragua, a 3rd world country, think that things are going to be like an extension of the US?
I am going to tell you the same thing, and my buddies will most likely agree, come down here, spend 3 weeks at cities that you have investigated in Nicaragua, example, Leon, Chinandega, Managua, San Juan de Sur, and Granada for starters.
THEN AND ONLY THEN, make some decisions.
Ultrasound, they barely have X Ray.
The steps you have to take to work here, you're better of walking all the steps in the Great Wall of China. If you plan to move to Nicaragua, you need a pension from the US, and a good one. Working here, forget it.
