I'm moving to Managua in February. I need to find a guide to help me. Not so much with Spanish but help setting up. I need to get banked, go start my immigration as a pensionado, etc. Also, I need references to open a bank account.

You should get a lawyer for residency. I think you need to be here 6 months before you can apply. My friends and I have always used Mr Ow Nica Transport. He’s on Facebook. Speaks English and knows where everything is great vehicles and reasonably priced. He’ll go anywhere in the country and to Costa Rica Airports. Used him for over 10 years now.

Not quite right. I think that you are confusing the current residency cedula of 6 months. Residency is still granted for the full 5 years, but you have to show up in MGA every six months and get a new cedula. A real PIA if you travel a lot.

The absolute best residency solution is Arielka Torres. Set up a WhatsApp connection with her before you leave the US so you have precisely what you need. >>>>>>>> 505 8909 4421 . She did my residency,, my wife's, and several others. She has never had one that failed. She doesn't take you money until your package is accepted by INTUR. Her English is excellent, she accompanies you to the INTUR meeting. She can explain the entire process to you,, before you leave the US

We have used her for any number of "chores", most recently an accident my wife had. She is committed,, conscientious, and "connected".

Her price is very reasonable: $350 + 200 for the lawyer who does the actual paperwork. She currently has one in process as we speak. The price includes the necessary translations of your documents into Spanish.

Her email is [email protected]

Good luck,, and welcome to Nicaragua
