I am a Chiropractor. Is there a market for a Chiropractor in Belize? What whould be the best city? We have three kids. Are there any schools in Belize?

San Pedro, Placencia, and San Ignacio have the largest expat populations. The most money is located in those three locations. I think that you'll find health oriented expats in each. Corozal is another expat community, but it is smaller. And many people move there because it is less expensive. That means they will be on tighter budgets. But you really need to come and visit, to check it out.

How large is Placencia? Guess we need Chiropractic minded population base (expats). What towns have the largest expat populations?

How long have you lived there? Where are you from? Do you work? English is widely spoken? How about Taxes?

I live on Ambergris Caye. There is a very good chiropractor here. He charges $25 US/treatment and brings his table to one's house. I think you would still do ok here, as there are a lot of aging expats. But not sure you would make enough to support your family. The mainland may be better, since you could cover a broader area. And there would be more school options. Take a look at Placencia, too. There are a LOT of expats heading there. I don't know if they have a chiropractor.

We could desperately use a good chiropractor in San Ignacio. If you came and set up a practice here, I would be your first client, lol!

There's a really good one already on Ambergris Caye. A couple not so great ones (from what I've been told) in other areas of the country.

Of course, you'll have to get a self-employed work permit, but other than that, you'd have a very viable business option.

In terms of schools, there are plenty of schools in all of the major towns in Belize (which is where you'd want to set up a practice anyways, not small villages). Some Expats choose to home school, as well.
