Moving to and working in Ireland

My wife and I are retired professionals and thinking of retiring to Ireland. She is a trained court reporter and medical secretary, while I am a retired teacher. I also have a background in horticulture and construction. We are both in good health and ideally would like to work part time or on contract during the summer months. We would also like to travel about the country and visit people and places. If you are able to help or suggest directions we would be most appreciative.

There is a wealth of good information on the net...starting with the Irish Government pages. You can contact the Department of Justice for a packet.

There is a very good resource called Inside Ireland, a quarterly that is very informative, and for a nominal fee will do individual research. I subscribed to them for some years, until harder times, but they were always very kind in their correspondence. I think they have a website to subscribe.

Good luck to you. This site is nice, but doesn't seem to get much play.
