Now in my mid 70's I would like to explore and possibly live for a few years in my grandparents homeland, Ireland. I know Dublin is quite expensive but I thought of someplace like Galway as a residence and what the cost would be to live there

Greetings from Colorado. Having lived overseas in Germany my entire childhood, I am eager to relocate overseas for retirement. I am looking at Ireland, specifically, Dingle Peninsula and would love to learn more from those living in Ireland.

My husband and I are retiring in 2027 and are planning to move to Cork Co. Ireland, possibly Cobh. We are starting to plan early since it is so hard to find a rental there. Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi! I will most likely moving to Ireland from the US within the next 3 months as an expatriate. We have office in Dublin and a Field Office in Galway. I’ve had the privilege of spending time in Ireland in the past - for work and for holiday (Hill-Walking). So looking forward to being there!

My husband just obtained his Irish citizenship and we are considering living for at least one year in Ireland near Dublin but not in the city proper. So will probably rent at first and buy if we decide to stay longer.

My husband and I currently live in the U.S. and are considering retiring in Ireland because of the friendly, welcoming locals and temperate climate.

Beginning in the fall of 2024 my wife and I are hoping to move to Southeastern Ireland. We have visited several times and I have had Irish Citizenship for nearly 20 years. We plan on residing there for 8 to 12 months or longer.

We are thinking of moving to Ireland sometime in late 2025/early 2026 with our two Japanese Chins. My husband is German so has an EU passport while I hold a U.S. passport. Our college-age daughter holds dual German-U.S. nationality and will be studying for a Ph.D. in chemistry in Europe starting in 2025.

Hello, I recently received my Irish citizenship and am awaiting my passport application to be completed. My husband and I have discussed moving to Europe and Ireland recently came up as a retirement location to be strongly considered. We'll be making our first trip to Ireland in October! We're currently live in the SF Bay Area.

I am a media professional currently teaching at a university in Tennessee. I have visited Ireland three times, twice with students. I enjoy the people and the environment. Looking for a less hectic place to live than the U.S.
