Does anyone know about VA insurance

Hello,
I have the Department of Veterans affairs VA health insurance and commercial private U.S. insurance. Both said they will cover my claims when I get medical services in Colombia. However, it is only thru reimbursement. I will need to pay for care out of pocket?
Are there clinics or doctors in Cartagena or Cali that would accept the insurance? I am going to be in Colombia on an extended vacation and will need medical care but I do not want to pay for travel insurance or anything like that if I don't have to as I am already paying for my private insurance in the states.
