transitioning to another country

I have thought about trying this for years but always put it off as I only speak english. Im goingto try to start learning spanish now on my own, but do wonder how the comunication goes in that type of situation,I dont want to squah my interest due to just that. Am looking to see where are the most compatible polace. for friendlyness as well.
