Hello friends, I'm looking for a location with four seasons, affordable housing, and an English-speaking community. Internet searches return too many options and widely varying opinions of 'best' or even optional. My latest visit to Europe found Germany to be expensive, the one before found Hungary and Slovakia to be lovely and inexpensive. This summer I'll explore a bit in Spain.
Your thoughts would be very welcome - what was your path in determining where to be, how did you find a community, any very good or unpleasant surprises?

Hi,
Hungary and Slovakia are very opposing cultures and landscapes. Slovakia being one of the poorest nations of EU offers quality and low cost living to expats. Country is pretty and welcoming. Expect language problems.
