Moving to Pakistan. Really. Are you out of ideas on where to move. Well, it's your call. When you apply for a visa by post, include the visa fees and and a $ 100 crisp bill for "baksheesh" or bribe. Your visa will be processed right away. Be careful, it's the eastern version of the wild west.

Hi Jenn, I am willing to invite my US Citizen girlfriend to Pakistan to get married to me and stay here, I just want you to help me by telling what did you guys wrote in your invitation letter ? Did you say directly that you want to get married or something else?

Secondly I would like to help you with your stay in Pakistan.
You can get a POC from NADRA and get an indefinite stay in Pakistan on the basis of your Marriage certificate (Nikah Nama) with your husband and by that you can open accounts in banks and also buy property in Pakistan.
Your Husband needs to bring 1. His CNIC 2. Marriage certificate 3. Your own Passport to get the POC . you can always call NADRA for that @ 051-111-786-100
I hope it would help
Waiting for your reply.

you can get visit visa for a couple of reasons.

either some company give you a job, and you come to give interview here.

either you are invited on a marriage of friend.

either some one like to marry you and you tell the reason of travel etc.

hi I can guide you more in detail after reviewing your case in detail, kindly share your situation in detail
that what documentation and proof you used to apply for visa ?
Normaly it shouldnt be a problem to get a marriage visa but you need strong documentary support and push to authorities from Pakistan if they are not willing to issue visa.
and if you need more information you can contact me i can support you in this regard.

any one else needing information or support regarding any matter of visa or related regarding coming and settling in Pakistan please feel free to contact here or on my email [email protected].

I have extended my visa about 3 times now. The first extension was for 6 months; 2nd was for a year and my latest was for 6 months, though I could've requested 1 year or 5 years (I think you have to leave Pakistan once a year if you get the 5-year visa, but I've heard conflicting reports about that, so I'm not sure). I haven't left Pakistan since I arrived 2 years ago. I don't work. I live in a rural area and we live with my husband's family, though we did live in Islamabad for a couple months after I arrived and also are planning to move there soon. I don't speak any of the Pakistani languages. Which part of the country are you planning to go to? If you'd like, you can personal message me for privacy reasons.

Hello Burt888,

I'm an American living in Pakistan for nearly 2 years now. I came here on a visit visa to visit my boyfriend and have been here ever since. We did get married a month after I arrived.

Anyway, if you want to be with your Pakistani fiancee, I do recommend applying for a visa. The process wasn't too bad and it took about 2 weeks, if memory serves me right.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I was just wondering if you sorted your problems getting a visa been away from loved ones is very difficult I'm thinking of moving to Pakistan to be with my fiancé as getting a visa for him to come here is proving difficult even though we showed everything required .... How easy or difficult is applying for visa to Pakistan and is my only option a visit visa as were not married is there any kind of settlement visas available and what are the chances of getting one basically we just want to be together again and everything we try doesn't seem to work

I agree with MH.
I have also been to pakistan twice to visit my then fiance, the second time i went over we married.
I also dont speak urdu nor am i wealthy.
bentonbabee i would try getting a lawyer who knows about visas or speaking to your local councilor, to find out why it was refused so quickly.

Hi Sama,
I am sorry but I am not sure if what you have written is entirely correct.
1. Pakistan does "very much" have visit visas.
2. I have had non-Pakistanis travel with me on a few occassions, and none of them spoke a word of Urdu nor had an knowledge f it whatsoever apart from a few swear words.
3. I am also not sure what's having a daughter got to do with a visit visa too.
4. My wife is not particularly wealthy and neither am I. Those others who have travelled with me wre not that wealthy either and they all got visas without any issues at all.

Could you please let us have the source of your information such as a link to the Pak embassy / Foreign ministry website please?

it might be better to bring the other partner from Pakistan to the US, but on the other hand, Pak visit visa is a LOT easier than a visit visa to the US or another similar country with a similar political and public agenda.

Regards.
MH

Well first of all Pakistan isn't accepting Visit Visa. Secondly , you can't get a visit visa unless you speak Urdu or have a good knowledge of it. Thirdly, you have a daughter, so good luck. Fourth, those who do get visit visas to Pak are usually wealthy or who they are marrying is wealthy...

Best luck is to try to get your love here...

Sama.

Hi,
OK, seems like they must have had a strong reason to reject the visa, and it may not be anything about you, but may be on a bigger givernment level or something like that. But if I was you I would find out how to appeal against the decision. I have taken non-Pakistanis with me from the UK 3 times so far and without any issues whatsoever. But it is kinda wierd that they have rejected so quickly so hence i suspect there is a bigger issue somewhere.
Since you satisfied every requirement, i would appeal against there decision, try to find out how to appeal, or simply take them to a local small court. I am sure they will have to explain to the court why they rejected and that will give you a chance to fix the issue if in your hands.
btw, its the first ever case i have heard of a Pakistani embassy rejecting a visa and so quickly/strongly too. mind you, the US citizens do go around killing Pakistanis and then return to the US without a trial against them in Pakistan, and that may be giving other legitimate visitors a bad name too. I am just assuming that not all of them are arrogant and cold blooded killers towards people in their host country (in case of Pakistan this is)...
Good luck.

Hi thanks for responding to my letter.well i the visa i applied for was just a tourist visa.i was planning on going to pakistan to visit my fiance for 30 days,i put in for a 6 month visa.i went in to the consulate general of pakistan in LOS ANGELES,CA.i went in on a tuesday and they told me it would take 1-2 weeks to process but thet next day they called me to come pick up my documents because my visa was denied.when i went to pick up my visa i asked them why or the reason and they just said they didnt have to give me a reason, but if i wanted to re-apply i could try again in 6 months.i turned in all the paper work they asked, including an invitation letter from my fiance and they still denied me.i understand about the fees, just dont understand about the visa.so this is my story, thanks so much for responding to me,any help will be appreciated.thanks so much.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about the visa refusal.
Can you please tell us what type of visa you applied for, on what basis, and how long for? where did you apply from? which embassy? what reason/hint was given for refusal if any?
Please give as much details as possible so people here can try to help you.
as far as the refund is concerned I am not sure why someone should give a refund. you paid the 'application processing fee" and they processed the application. As far as I know paying fee does not automatically give the right to a visa, nor is refundable if the visa is refused.
Dont worry too much though as there are many other ways to get the visa (on different basis I mean as a tourist etc etc).

Also did they say if there is a limit on when you can re-apply for another visa?

Oh yeh, the Caps Lock key is usually situated on the left hand side of the keyboard, around the middle, try that too. It is usually just the visa application forms that are filled in Caps ;)

Thanks
MH
