When my wife (dual US/UA Citizenship) and I (US Citizen) relocate to Kharkov, 1. which passport should she present to depart Detroit, Amsterdam and Kyiv at arrival? Conversely, if and when traveling back to the US, same question in reverse. As you know, Ukraine doesn’t allow for dual Citizenship. Thanks.

US law is one must leave and enter on US passport, and no requirement to show both passports unless asked. With teh checking the airlines do, occassionally immigration may note one left the destimation with anotehr passport, I have heard but never encounetred.

I dont know Ukraine, but if it doesnt allwo dual citizenship, I would think one woudl enter and leave just on Ukraine passport. While probably rare I could just imagine a grumpy immigration offcier in Ukraine raising a fuss.
