Hi, I am an American lawyer with an MBA and I am considering moving to Dubai. I have a few questions and would appreciate advice on life in Dubai.
1. What is the best way to find a job in Dubai? I am on Linkedln and Indeed. Any other recommendations.
2. Is it better to ship my vehicle or buy one there? I have a Mercedes ML350. Is it really expensive to service in Dubai?
3. How does registering and insuring my vehicle work? Is it expensive?
4. What area of Dubai is best to live in?
5. Is it better to rent a furnished apartment in a hotel or somewhere else.
6. Are there expats meet ups. How do I get to know other expats.
7. What is it like to date in Dubai. I am a single female, no kids.
8. Is it best to work in a corporation or law firm?
9. What is health care like in Dubai?
10. Anything else you think I should know?

2. its better to buy from here
3. it's moderate, not very expensive
4. JLT, JVC, Sports city
5. Not a hotel, a villa maybe better
.6. should be updated with social media always

I am getting an offer of 5500 AED without accommodation.
Although i didn’t clear this accomodation thing, i wll be soon talking to them but most probab its without..i am a single girl and can get adjusted with average kinda lifestyle in start but wanna know if 5500 is okay without accommodation and CAN i save within this amount..
Are there existence of like single room pgs instead of 1bhk etc…and will be living there poorly in this amount..?

Hi there. I can help you with some of the information I am sure of.
Yes, you can find a job in Dubai from Indeed and LinkedIn if you are well qualified. If you have someone to recommend, it would be a whole lot easier.
Vehicles are less costly to buy in Dubai. Other than that, there are plenty of car renting services. It would not be necessary to import your car to Dubai. It may be costly for shipping.
Dubai downtown is the most expensive place for stay. You can see more life in and around Deira and Bur Dubai. The rent is low too. It would be ideal to choose the place for a stay after finding the place of work. Traffic is messy in Dubai.
Hotels are way too expensive. Almost all residential apartments in Dubai are given out for rent. You can find a space quite easily.

Dating wouldn't be easy here. Be careful of fakes. Wish you good luck though.
Dubai provides good healthcare but expensive. Get a good health insurance policy.
