Leave me alone! I am healthy...

Born in Italy 1959. We are an expat Italian couple since 1990: Malaysia, Portugal, France, Lithuania, Chile and back to Italy (damned!) in 2019, months before the pandementia...
We are looking for a not expensive country to expat to, again, and thinking about central America.
The main obstacle are the restrictions imposed by the pandementia. Mexico is not our favourite but probably the only country not to require anything such as vax, testing, quarantine etc...
Nica is now requesting 72 hours testing before entering but it is difficult to know what else you could be asked when living there.
Costa Rica and Panama are "similar" to Nica (at moment of writing) but we know that what is valid now could be wrong tomorrow.
This uncertainty is what complicate and put at risk the decision to expat again.
Any of you, healthy and no-vaxxed, in the same situation?
Any of you has experience in one of those countries?
Many thanks.

YOU CAN ANSWER IN SPANISH TOO, IF YOU WISH.

Don fla:

If I were looking for a place to retire Alajuela CR and Kingman AZ would be at the top of my list. Unfortunately, refugees with suitcases full of cash have driven AZ real estate prices thru the roof, both purchase and rental.
Merida, MEX, would also be worth looking at as would the right neighborhood of Mex. City, other than the air pollution. Maybe Puebla.

Thanks "elduendegrande".
You got one of the points about the increased difficulty to move these days.
Most decisions [to move] are more related to finding a peaceful environment than seeking "fake comfort" in most "developed countries".
Nicaragua, together with other Central American neighbours, is being studied by my wife and I.
Data I found, show an average level of criminality (much lower than Chile's), a relatively low cost of living, good and fresh food, good climate (up the central hills, for my taste) and natural beauties.
I don't have yet enough info about health care.
Some of the cons of NICA are similar, or better, than in the last two countries I have lived.
Thanks again.

The smart countries don't allow immigrants to dillute and destroy their countries. Singapore, Japan, a few others.

The smart money was going to Portugal but with the war against Russia things are getting skittish in Europe. And remember, wars bring plagues no matter where you go.

Of course, if you just like moving around you can just keep moving around.
Sad to say "freedom" is now so old school.
