Expats should also be aware that the cost of living in Managua is relatively low, but the quality of life can be lower than in other cities. Additionally, the city has a tropical climate with high temperatures and humidity, so expats should be prepared for hot weather. Finally, expats should be aware that the city has a high crime rate, so it is important to take safety precautions," commented one expat who made the move to Managua.
