"I do not live in the city, I'm about an 1:15 outside of Cali in the mountains where it's much cooler. Cali can be quite hot much of the time and the traffic, crowds, and pollution are too much for me. I do drive into Cali about one a week for shopping or medical reasons. I find these day trips quite tolerable but prefer to back home by 7pm," remarked another expat in Cali.

"For me Cali, Colombia is too hot. I'm considering a move to a city closer to Medellin," explained one expat living in Cali.

"Cali is a wonderful tropical destination. Because it is located at 3000 feet above sea level the climate is moderate most of the time. It is best to make certain that you are not in a flooding zone during the rainy season. You can obtain many imported products that were not available 10 years ago at reasonable prices.
