What is it like to retire in Caracas?

"Retiring in Caracas can be both positive and negative. On the positive side, the cost of living and day-to-day expenses are quite low. Additionally, Caracas is quite culturally vibrant, offering many opportunities for dining, entertainment, and exploration of the city and its surrounding areas. On the negative side, Caracas is considered to be one of the most dangerous cities in the world. High crime rates and political/economic instability make it a challenging place to live, especially for retirees who may not be able to physically defend themselves or interact with the authorities if necessary. There is also a severe lack of basic services (such as medical care and clean drinking water), and the availability of goods can be unreliable," said one retiree in living in Caracas, Venezuela.
