Summary: The cost of living in Istanbul, Turkey is generally considered to be quite reasonable. A nice 1 bedroom apartment in Istanbul can cost anywhere from $500 to $1,000 per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost anywhere from $800 to $1,500 per month. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Istanbul is usually around $15 to $20 per person.

"The cost of living in Istanbul is generally considered to be quite reasonable. Groceries, transportation, and utilities are all relatively inexpensive compared to other major cities in Europe. Eating out can be quite affordable, with a variety of restaurants offering delicious local cuisine at reasonable prices. Rent prices can vary depending on the area, but overall they are still quite reasonable," explained one expat.
