"The cost of living in Punta del Este is generally considered to be quite high. Prices for basic necessities such as food, housing, and transportation are all relatively expensive. Eating out at restaurants can also be costly, with prices for a meal for two people ranging from around $30 to $50. Utilities such as electricity and water are also expensive, with monthly bills ranging from around $50 to $100," explained one expat living in Punta del Este.
