Summary: The cost of living in Guangzhou, China is generally considered to be quite affordable. A nice 1 bedroom apartment in Guangzhou can cost anywhere from $400 to $800 per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost anywhere from $600 to $1,200 per month. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Guangzhou is usually around $10 to $15 per person.

"The cost of living in Guangzhou varies depending on the lifestyle of the individual. Generally speaking, basic necessities such as groceries and utilities are relatively affordable. Eating out can range anywhere from cheap street food to more expensive restaurant fare. Housing prices vary widely in Guangzhou, from upscale apartments to more affordable options. Public transportation is widely available and inexpensive, making it a great way to get around the city," remarked one expat in Guangzhou, China.
