Summary: The cost of living in Medellin, Colombia is generally considered to be quite affordable. A nice 1 bedroom apartment in Medellin can cost anywhere from $400 to $800 per month in US Dollars, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost anywhere from $600 to $1,200 per month. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Medellin is usually around $10 to $15 per person in US Dollars.
Is the cost of living in Medellin high?

"The cost of living in Medellin is generally considered to be quite affordable. Groceries, transportation, and utilities are all relatively inexpensive compared to other cities in the region. Eating out at restaurants is also quite affordable, with many meals costing less than $10 USD. Rent prices can vary depending on the area, but are generally quite reasonable," explained one expat.
"Some say as little as $1,500 per month. We live in the most expensive area of Medellin, so our cost is more than double that amount. It also depends what activities we do," said one person in Medellin.
