"The cost of living in Salinas is generally reasonable compared to other cities in the country. It offers a variety of goods and services that are both high-end and low-cost, allowing residents to get what they need on a budget. Additionally, food prices tend to be lower than in many other Ecuadorian cities. Rent tends to be relatively reasonably priced, as apartment prices start at around $100 per month. Overall, Salinas offers a high quality of life for a fraction of the price of cosmopolitan cities," said one expat in Salinas, Ecuador.
