"1. Make sure to research the healthcare system in Barcelona and the surrounding areas to ensure you have access to the best care for you and your baby. 2. Consider enrolling in a prenatal class to learn more about the birthing process and to meet other expectant parents. 3. Familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations regarding maternity leave and parental leave. 4. Consider hiring a doula or midwife to provide additional support during the pregnancy and birth. 5. Make sure to take advantage of the many resources available to expats in Barcelona, such as expat forums and support groups. 6. Consider joining a local parenting group to connect with other parents and to learn more about parenting in Barcelona. 7. Make sure to take time for yourself during the pregnancy and after the birth of your baby. 8. Take advantage of the many cultural activities and attractions in Barcelona to make the most of your time in the city," commented one expat who made the move to Barcelona, Spain.
