What advice do you have for expats having a baby in San Francisco?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in San Francisco about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"1. Make sure to research the different birthing options available in San Francisco, such as home birth, hospital birth, and birth centers. 2. Consider joining a local support group for pregnant women and new parents to connect with other expats and get advice. 3. Take advantage of the many resources available in the city, such as prenatal classes, lactation consultants, and doulas. 4. Make sure to plan ahead and get all the necessary paperwork in order, such as birth certificates and visas. 5. Take time to explore the city and find the best places to take your baby, such as parks, playgrounds, and family-friendly restaurants. 6. Consider enrolling your baby in a local daycare or preschool to help them adjust to their new home. 7. Make sure to take care of yourself during pregnancy and after the birth of your baby, such as getting enough rest, eating healthy, and exercising," remarked another expat who made the move to San Francisco, the United States.
