What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Prague?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Prague about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"1. Make sure to research the healthcare system in Prague and the options available to you for prenatal care and delivery. 2. Consider hiring a doula or midwife to provide additional support during your pregnancy and delivery. 3. Familiarize yourself with the Czech language so that you can communicate effectively with healthcare providers. 4. Take advantage of the many resources available to expats in Prague, such as expat forums and support groups. 5. Make sure to register your baby with the Czech authorities as soon as possible after birth. 6. Consider joining a local parent group or playgroup to meet other parents and build a support network. 7. Take time to explore the city and its many attractions with your baby. 8. Take advantage of the many parks and outdoor spaces in Prague to get some fresh air and exercise," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Prague, Czechia.
