What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Copenhagen?
We asked expat moms who gave birth in Copenhagen about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...
"1. Make sure to research the healthcare system in Denmark and familiarize yourself with the process of registering for a doctor and hospital. 2. Consider joining a local antenatal class to meet other expectant parents and learn more about the birthing process in Denmark. 3. Look into the different types of maternity leave available to you and make sure to apply for them in advance. 4. Take advantage of the free healthcare and childcare services available to you as an expat. 5. Consider hiring a doula or midwife to provide additional support during the pregnancy and birth. 6. Make sure to take time to relax and enjoy the experience of having a baby in a new country," said another expat in Copenhagen, Denmark.
