What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Tel Aviv?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Tel Aviv about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"1. Make sure to research the healthcare system in Israel and find a doctor or midwife that you trust and feel comfortable with. 2. Consider taking a childbirth education class to help you prepare for the birth. 3. Make sure to register your baby with the Israeli Ministry of Interior as soon as possible after birth. 4. Familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations regarding maternity leave and childcare. 5. Take advantage of the many resources available to expat parents in Tel Aviv, such as support groups, parenting classes, and online forums. 6. Make sure to take time for yourself and your partner to relax and enjoy the experience of becoming a parent," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Tel Aviv, Israel.
