What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Cabo San Lucas?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Cabo San Lucas about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"The first and most important piece of advice for expats having a baby in Cabo San Lucas, is to make sure you have access to quality medical care. Be sure to research local obstetricians and hospitals to find the best available care for you and your baby. It is also important to make sure you have the necessary paperwork in order for the birth and for your baby to receive a Mexican birth certificate. Additionally, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with any local laws or rules relating to having a baby and registration of a foreign citizen. Finally, if you are from another country, remember that you will need to obtain a visa if your baby will have residency in Mexico," remarked another expat who made the move to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
