"When visiting Dongguang it is important that visitors show respect for the local culture. It is important to dress appropriately, cover shoulders and knees when outside and respect local customs around religious buildings and sites. With regards to communication, it is important to be aware that Chinese people may be hesitant to give honest opinions or criticism, so care should be taken to not be too direct. Lastly, as the people of Dongguang may be very generous, gifts should be offered and received with two hands," remarked another expat in Dongguang, China, China.
