It is also important to be aware of the local language and to avoid speaking loudly or using offensive language. Additionally, it is important to be respectful of religious beliefs and to avoid taking photographs of religious sites without permission. Finally, it is important to be aware of local customs regarding tipping and to be respectful of the local environment," wrote a member who made the move to Las Terrenas, the Dominican Republic.
