What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Ojochal. They wrote...

"Expats in Ojochal often find the language barrier to be the most challenging aspect of the local culture. Many locals speak Spanish as their primary language, and while some may be able to communicate in English, it is not as widely spoken as it is in other parts of the country. Additionally, the slower pace of life in Ojochal can be difficult for expats to adjust to, as it is much different than the hustle and bustle of their home countries. Finally, the local customs and traditions can be difficult to understand and navigate for those who are not familiar with them," remarked another expat who made the move to Ojochal, Costa Rica.
