"Retiring in San Miguel de Allende can be extremely rewarding. The city is renowned for its attractive colonial architecture, vibrant culture, mild climate and friendly locals. There is an abundance of leisure activities ranging from relaxing in the local parks with stunning views, to exploring the colorful food markets. Taking Spanish classes or dancing the night away in local cantinas also adds to the experience. Additionally, the cost of living is considerably lower than in other countries, allowing retirees to enjoy a higher standard of living on a limited budget," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
