There are many cultural attractions in the area, including Churches and historical sites, as well as galleries and a lively downtown nightlife. There are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from, such as golf courses, hiking trails, cycling routes and kayaking spots for those looking for adventure, and for those looking for a more tranquil experience, there are several beaches and lagoons. The local festivals and celebrations provide a fun and diverse atmosphere, so there is always something to do. Despite its charm, retirees still have access to modern amenities, such as Internet and up-to-date healthcare services," remarked another expat in Lake Chapala, Mexico.
