Is there a lot of crime in Venice?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Venice, is generally considered a safe city with a relatively low crime rate. Most of the crimes that occur in Venice are non-violent and involve petty theft, such as pickpocketing, especially in crowded tourist areas. However, violent crime is rare, and most visitors to the city do not encounter any issues. The local police force is active and responsive in maintaining safety and order. It's always recommended for tourists to take standard precautions to protect their belongings and personal safety, just as they would in any other city," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Venice, Italy.
