People living in Quito come from many different backgrounds, and this variety is evident in the city's art, architecture, foods, and festivals. The people of Quito display a strong commitment to open-mindedness and tolerance, creating an atmosphere of respect and acceptance for differences. As a result, people in Quito are warm and welcoming to visitors of all backgrounds," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Quito, Ecuador, Ecuador.

"Quito is very diverse. We have a growing Asian community as well as a large expat community. The Quitenos are very nice and accepting of other cultures and people. The Latinos in general do not mix classes (the city is separated into neighborhoods of different classes.)," commented one expat who made the move to Quito, Ecuador.
