The American International School of Sri Lanka (AIS) is a private, co-educational school that offers an American-style curriculum from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. AIS is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Sri Lanka Ministry of Education. The school has a strong focus on academic excellence, with a wide range of extracurricular activities and a commitment to developing global citizens. The Negombo International School (NIS) is a private, co-educational school that offers a British-style curriculum from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. NIS is accredited by the Cambridge International Examinations and the Sri Lanka Ministry of Education. The school has a strong focus on academic excellence, with a wide range of extracurricular activities and a commitment to developing global citizens. The Negombo Bilingual School (NBS) is a private, co-educational school that offers a bilingual curriculum in English and Sinhala from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. NBS is accredited by the Sri Lanka Ministry of Education and is committed to providing a quality education to its students. The school has a strong focus on academic excellence, with a wide range of extracurricular activities and a commitment to developing global citizens," explained one expat living in Negombo, Sri Lanka.
"This is a very special school. The Principal is FANTASTIC. She runs a very tight ship but is also fair and ready to listen to parents and she really listens. The faclty is incredible they are ALL excellent teachers and my child feels completely safe and respected. My wife and I feel the same way. It is a remarkable place to learn," said one parent with children at N.I.C.E. International School in Negombo.
