What are the schools in Cumbaya like?

Answer this Question

When we asked about the schools in Cumbaya, they said...

"The British school Quito is located in the nearby village of Cumbaya and is one of the premier international schools in the area. They offer an outstanding curriculum which incorporates the British educational system, with an emphasis on rigorous academics, problem solving, and critical thinking. In addition to the core curriculum, there are also additional opportunities for students to pursue their own interests and develop their own skills. The school offers a range of extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports, art, and music, as well as international field trips. The American School of Quito is another great international school located in Cumbaya. The school offers a rigorous American-style education, emphasizing student diversity and college-level preparation. This school has a low student-teacher ratio, ensuring that students receive individual attention throughout the school year to ensure they reach their full learning potential. The school also offers many extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, theatre, and study abroad trips. Cumbaya also has an excellent bilingual school. Colegio Bilingüe Internacional de Cuenca is one of the leading bilingual schools in the area. It offers a comprehensive curriculum which incorporates both the Spanish and English language in all subjects, as well as activities which promote cross-cultural understanding and respect. Many of the teachers are native speakers of both languages and specialize in educating students about diverse cultures and backgrounds. The school also encourages creativity, collaboration, and independent thought," remarked one expat living in Cumbaya, Ecuador with children attending .

"You must come to the campus to see. It is a nice little campus in the upscale community of Cumbaya. Tuition runs about $6,000 per semester and $1500 for the summer semester. They do offer financing through the University as well as scholarships to top performing students. Class sizes are small and there are a wide variety of programs of study available. It is a nice option to the expensive US colleges," said one expat in Cumbaya with children at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ).
