What are the schools in Moscow like?
When we asked about the schools in Moscow, they said...
"The Anglo-American School of Moscow is one of the best international schools in Moscow. It is an independent, co-educational day school offering an international curriculum for students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It offers a rigorous academic program, with a strong emphasis on English language instruction, as well as a wide range of extracurricular activities. The International School of Moscow is another excellent international school in Moscow. It is a private, co-educational day school offering an international curriculum for students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The Moscow Bilingual School is a great bilingual school in Moscow. It is a private, co-educational day school offering a bilingual curriculum for students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers a comprehensive academic program, with a strong emphasis on both English and Russian language instruction, as well as a wide range of extracurricular activities," explained one expat living in Moscow, Russia.
"Think hard about attending here. This school thinks it is much better than it is. The curriculum, particularly math, is very weak. Most parents engage tutors for the children to keep up with the home curriculum. The teachers' children receive preference in sports, drama clubs etc. The teachers receive preference for use of school facilities such as the workout room. It is not nearly good enough for the high tuition paid and the headmaster is ineffective. The administration does not welcome constructive criticism. The best advice? Attend ISM if given the choice," said one parent with children at Anglo American School in Moscow.
