What should I pack when moving to Hanoi?
We asked people living in Hanoi to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Hanoi, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing that is appropriate for the hot and humid weather. A raincoat and umbrella are also essential for the frequent rain showers. Additionally, pack comfortable shoes for walking around the city. Toiletries, medications, and any other personal items should also be included. Don't forget to bring a power adapter for your electronics, as the voltage in Vietnam is different than in other countries. Finally, it is a good idea to bring a few items that remind you of home, such as photos or souvenirs," explained one expat living in Hanoi, Vietnam.
