What should I pack when moving to Belize City?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Belize City to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Belize City, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing that is suitable for the hot and humid climate. Pack comfortable shoes for walking around the city. Bring a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. Bring a raincoat and umbrella in case of rain. Bring any necessary medications and toiletries. Don't forget to bring a few items that remind you of home, such as photos or books. Finally, make sure to bring a valid passport and any other necessary documents," remarked another expat in Belize City, Belize.

"Wish that I had Brought: Bug spray, bug nets, bug zappers. Wish that I had left at Home: Me myself and I," said a member in Belize City, Belize.
