What should I pack when moving to Bogota?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Bogota to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Bogota, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack clothing that is appropriate for the warm, tropical climate, such as light, breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes. Bring items that will help you stay connected to your home country, such as books, music, and photos. Additionally, it is important to bring items that will help you adjust to the local culture, such as a Spanish-English dictionary and a guidebook to the city. Finally, don't forget to bring any necessary documents, such as your passport and visa," remarked another expat who made the move to Bogota, Colombia.
