What should I pack when moving to Ipoh?
We asked people living in Ipoh to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Ipoh, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack light, comfortable clothing that is suitable for the hot and humid weather. Bring a good pair of walking shoes, as Ipoh is a great city for exploring on foot. Don't forget to bring a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Bring a few items of traditional Malaysian clothing to show respect for the local culture. Additionally, it is important to bring any necessary documents, such as a passport, visa, and work permit. Finally, don't forget to bring any items that will make you feel at home, such as photos, books, and music," explained one expat living in Ipoh, Malaysia.
