How do I find a place to live in Santo Domingo?
We asked expats how they chose their neighborhood and found a place to live. They answered...
"Finding a place to live in Santo Domingo can be done by researching the different neighborhoods of the city to identify which areas are right for you, followed by searching the internet for apartments and houses for rent in the chosen area. You can also look in the classifieds section of newspapers and magazines to find listings of available rentals. Additionally, some real estate agents can help you with your search and provide good advice on finding a home. Word of mouth also remains a great way of finding rentals, so it may be worth asking friends and family who live in the area if they have any recommendations," said another expat in Santo Domingo, Dominican Rep.
"I chose my neighborhood because it is located within walking distance of the Sea and one half block from the Metro/Subway. I found my apartment through a website named Sublet.com," wrote a member who made the move to Santo Domingo, Dominican Rep.
